Was within minutes of Big Ben and other tourist attractions. Bar was open all night and plenty of places to eat nearby.

Location was fabulous. Lower Marsh is a lively market street closed to cars. Street vendors during the daytime, and outdoor seating at pubs and restaurants. But with all that, no noise issues. It's also perfectly situated for public transportation. Everything was clean clean clean. The staff were unfailingly cheery, polite, friendly, and helpful. And it's lovely to be able to come in late at night and relax with a cocktail, or get a fresh coffee 24/7.

Slick, modern hotel on a pedestrianised street where there are plenty of food stall, bars and restaurants. Very convenient to Waterloo Station and The New Vic theatre and close to the Southbank Centre. We arrived earlier than expected and the friendly reception staff were able to accommodate an early check-in. We upgraded to a loft room and enjoyed the additional space and private balcony overlooking the street. The hotel's bar is reasonably priced and the breakfast and lunch options are tasty and wholesome. The street can get busy with nightlife, but there was no problem with noise in our room. Would book this place again.

Hotel has got great location, great vibe and really friendly and welcoming staff. Just outside Waterloo station and it was so easy to travel to Coldplay Wembley show.

Ruby Lucy is a quirky hotel in Lower Marsh, just behind Waterloo station. All staff were super friendly at check in and at the bar which was great. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived but we were offered a free cocktail to make up for the (short) wait. We had booked a small room but it turned out to be much larger than the pictures suggested which was a pleasant surprise and the bed was really comfortable. There is no kettle in the room but every floor is equipped with a little 'station' where you can get various teas and coffees as well as other things such as ironing boards. We were on the second or third floor and there was a little balcony with tables to sit outside which makes for a pleasant place to have your coffee. The bar downstairs makes great cocktails and is open late (or maybe even 24 hrs) which was nice to have a drink in when coming back late at night.

I like the quirky dark decor in the public spaces, with contrasting bright, clean and modern white bedrooms, and the slightly edgy location, including the market outside. Good soundproofing. Extremely helpful, friendly staff. Nice generous breakfast.

First, this is a great hotel and the staff are excellent! The rooms are small but comfortable. The bed was also very comfortable. Depending on the side of the hotel, your view outside will vary. We got to look at the back of Waterloo Station which wasn't the most scenic but that wasn't why we picked the hotel either. The location is excellent and we walked everywhere from the hotel. Waterloo Station is also less than 5 minutes away so if you prefer the train it is easily accessible. The sitting area was great. The bar was also excellent. You'll feel like you are in a very fancy living room with jazzy music playing in the background. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance (highly recommend Rosa's Thai- that place is sensational!)

I loved the whole atmosphere of the hotel and the awesome surroundings. It's incredibly convenient to Waterloo and we met lovely people in the hotel. I was disappointed that I wasn't informed about the later checkout times or indeed offered the free cocktail which was available apparently.
